And we’ve all been in scenes where we seem to be doing all the right things\, following the rules\, but somehow no one is really having fun.  \nThis workshop will help you rediscover a sense of naughtiness and mischief in your play. We will explore what it means to play in a ‘risky’ (but still safe!) space with the audience. We will tap into our inner naughty school child and go beyond the ‘rules’ in order to find playable patterns and games that feel instinctive\, surprising and above all fun.  \nFor experienced (jaded?) improvisers.

In this workshop\, we’ll take the pressure off and simply focus on things that make things more fun and exciting for performers and audience alike. We’ll explore using emotion to motivate songs; harmonizing to give the music more depth; fun backline support like dancing and providing a chorus\, as well as simple tools to improve lyrics and melody lines. \nAccompaniment by Zach Marsh. \nOpen to intermediate to advanced long form improvisers with musical improv experience.
