Everyone wants to know how to be funnier on stage. But the truth is that often what’s going to help the most is to get better at not being funny. In this workshop we’ll almost exclusively look at the ‘not being funny’ part of the scene. In fact, if you make me laugh in this workshop, then you’re doing it wrong and I’ll get mad*! You’re already great at getting laughs, so now you’ll learn not to try too hard to get the funnies out, to invest in what’s really going on in the scene, and to trust that you’ll get back to the comedy when the time’s right.
